It is always nice to read what the school has been up to in the Stirling Observer, but I was concerned to see only a small selection of pupils named as receiving their gold award for 100% attendance, on viewing this website I can see their was a lot more, including my own child whose name was not printed, surely it would have been nice to name all or none at all.

I'm afraid that it is up to the Observer how much space they can allocate to our news. A full list was supplied to them. |

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the Junior Award Ceremony on Wednesday. Thanks to everyone involved. Only negative point is that you really need to get the air conditioning sorted out, it was far too hot!

Is it possible for a copy of the programme from the Junior awards ceremony to be put on the website? We didn't get a programme and would like to have one as a souvenir.

To Mr McAlpine and all of those involved in this year's WWRY production I would like to say very well done last night! First night nerves, if they were there, were not obvious at all. The performance given made it very difficult to believe that this was an amateur production. This was my first time inside the "new" school (even when it was that orange building!) It would be great to get a proper look around sometime as last night time did not permit. Very impressed by what I did see though. You and your pupils must be delighted with it. I know you are retiring this year but you must be so proud of what you are leaving in way of the building AND of course your pupils. Happy retirement and please pass on my congratulations to all involved in this year's show. So much talent contained within one school.marvellous!

I'd like to congratule everyone involved in the Senior Awards Ceremony on 20 April 2011. I have been to a number of Awards Ceremonies at the school and this was by far the best. Mrs Greer was a great speaker and Mr McAlpine kept his bit short and interesting. I think having the guests on the stage was much better. The musical items were very good too. Thanks for a memorable evening.

I was wondering why the S1 parents evening is in November and then the next one, isn't until the a year in the following March when they are in S2? This seems to be an awful long time to wait especially when they were at primary school and there were 2 parents evenings each year!

In a Secondary School the arrangements are to organise 6 PARENTS' EVENINGS PER YEAR. THIS LEAVES 1 PER YEAR GROUP. This is the norm in secondary schools. Secondary staff thus have 6 meetings per year and not 1 or 2 as in a primary school. The Secondary Calendar is published annually. Jim Mcalpine |
