Intermediate 2 from Fifth Year
Course Description
The course extends the work of Credit Maths or Intermediate 2 very
considerably. The amount of homestudy / homework is considerable.
Higher is made up of three units, each of which has an assessment which must
be passed.
The duration of each unit varies, but is between 10 to 12 weeks.
If pupils are having difficulty coping with the Higher course they will be
moved into Intermediate 2.
The contents of each unit is shown below:
To obtain a Higher award, all three unit assessments and the final external
exam must be passed.

Unit 3

- Calculus: Differentiation 2
- Logarithmic, exponential functions

- combining trig functions
Tutorials
Tutorials will take place between 3.45pm and 4.30pm.
