Forth Valley College Courses
Course : Units and modules
Level : Scottish Progression Award
The course is taught for one day each week, over Third and Fourth Year, at
either Stirling, Clackmannan or Falkirk.
They are practical courses and are aimed at those pupils who wish to pursue a
career in the subject area.
The pupils are selected by the College staff, at an interview conducted in
school.
They are looking for pupils who are committed and reliable with a genuine
interest in the subject area.
Pupils are likely to be following school courses at General level or above.
The courses offered last year were as follows :
- Beauty
- Care
- Child Care
- Computing
- Construction
- Engineering
With the agreement of parents, pupils may be expected to drop one school
subject in order to use that time in school (2/3 periods) to make up on work
missed while at College.
Pupils who are interested in a College course should simply tick the box on
the option sheet. Do not put a number in the box.
Information about which courses are being offered will be distributed at a
later date.
