Aims
In this course, pupils will learn to express themselves
visually. They will solve visual and design problems using traditional art
materials and Adobe Photoshop Elements in the Design Studio. Pupils will also
learn to make informed comments about the work of artists and designers
Course Content
The course is made up of three units taken over two years.
- Expressive Activity - Still Life Themes from the Natural and Built environment.
- Design Activity – Solving a three dimensional Graphic design problem.
- Art & Design Studies – Researching and commenting on the work of artists and designers.
Assessment
Pupils must pass all unit assessments and an external
assessment to gain a course award.
