Amnesty 60th Birthday Party
The Amnesty International group of Bannockburn High has recently hosted
a party to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Declaration of Human Rights
and the Protect the Human campaign. The campaign was created to bring wider
awareness of human rights around the world. It also aims to highlight
injustices in the world and to campaign against them.
The party was a roaring success with a considerable amount of pupils
attending. There were cakes aplenty and information on Amnesty and the
declaration of human rights. Stickers were given to each guest on entry,
much to the delight of several pupils and staff!
The Amnesty group will continue to provide information on campaigns and
other activities, so come along to room 308 on Tuesday lunchtimes to find
out more.
