Amnesty Fundraiser

The school’s Amnesty International Group will be collecting old mobile phones to recycle. The phones can be in any state of repair – Amnesty will receive £5 for each. If you have an old phone at home, please help us by bringing it along to Room 308 (Mrs Mackay) or bring it along at lunch time to our Party on Friday 30th in the lecture theatre.

Help make the world a fairer place by supporting Amnesty.

Book and Video Sale 2009

The School’s Amnesty Group is once again holding their annual Second-hand Book Sale to celebrate World Book Day and to raise cash for Amnesty International. This will take place during lunch times in the lecture theatre on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th March.

Please come along and grab a bargain or two: books cost 50p for paperbacks and £1 for hardbacks. Also if you have any unwanted books at home please hand in to Mrs Mackay in room 308.

Book and Video Sale 2008

The Amnesty International group held a book sale in the Lecture Theatre over lunch times on the 7th and 8th March to raise money for Amnesty and to promote World Book Day. The event was a huge success raising almost £194.50 from the sale of second hand books and CDs. The Amnesty group would like to thank all staff and pupils for their generosity.

Book and Video Sale 2007

During the school’s charity week the Amnesty International Group were running a second hand bookstall to raise money for the organisation. The £100 proceeds were sent to Amnesty to help with the constant campaign for justice for human beings worldwide.
Thanks to everyone who donated books to help the sale run successfully.
