Macmillan Coffee Morning

The Charities Team would like to give an enormous thanks to pupils and staff for their generous support on the last day of term. The proceeds of the raffle, non-uniform day and staff coffee morning raised a fantastic total of £1342.68.

Sponsored Walk

Well done to all who took part in the Sponsored walk to raise money for the school fund. So far a grand total of £1500 has been collected with the money continuing to come in. All money should be taken to Mrs Nicol in the office.

NHS Conference

4 pupils from Bannockburn High participated in the Sex Factor event at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow. The pupils learned about the work of the NES Young People’s Public Partnership forum and the aims of the Government regarding Sexual Health and Relationships as well as finding out about the latest health initiatives.

The conference began with an interactive quiz before the pupils took part in 3 workshops on Contraception & Pregnancy, STIs & HIV and the Media & Relationships. They were able to put forward their views on the way sexual health is taught in school in order to influence future planning.

P7 Open Evening

The P7 open night will take place tonight (Wednesday). This is a wonderful opportunity for pupils and parents to visit individual departments and meet with staff and pupils prior to commencing S1.
