‘High Flyers’
At the end of last session a number of S4 pupils took part in the ‘High
Flyers’ programme which took place at Herriot Watt University. This allowed
the pupils the experience of University life, attending workshops and mini
lectures.
Edinburgh Book Festival
On 27th August 28 S2 pupils embarked on a journey to the Edinburgh Book
Festival. While we were there we went to see Tony Lee, who wrote ‘The Outlaw
– Robin’ the graphic novel which is now being turned into a movie. Tony Lee
also wrote other books such as ‘Doctor Who – the Tenth Doctor’. Tony Lee was
very comical and kept everyone amused and advised us how to write and have
confidence in our writing. Overall it was a very interesting and fun.

School Show – Grease
Auditions were held this week for the annual school show to take place on
8th & 9th December. Principals will be announced in next week’s column.
School Photographs
The school photographer will visit on Thursday 17th September to photograph
pupils in S1, S3, S5 and S6.
London – February 2010
Pupils participating in the trip will be given confirmation letters and
details of payments this week. Further information regarding the trip will
be issued in due course.

Holiday
The school will be closed on Monday 7th September and will reopen to pupils
on Tuesday 8th at 8.55am.
