School Show : Copacabana

First class, professional and most definitely amazing were the words used to described Bannockburn High School’s excellent production of ‘Copacabana’. The unforgettable songs, fun lyrics, music and wonderful dancing, expertly performed by a highly talented cast of pupils from S1 – S6, had the audience captivated from beginning to end.

The minimalist set and fabulous costumes, added extra sparkle to an already glittering evening. Daniel Mooney, perfect in his role as Stephen/Tony, gave an outstanding performance as did Joanna McConnachie as Samantha/Lola. Fraser Tait added humour in his role as Sam Silver as did Amber Howland as Gladys Murphy. Callum Frickleton and Kirsten Reekie impressed the audience as the evil Rico Castelli and his long suffering partner Conchita Alvarez.

The talent, effort and teamwork of cast and crew were evident for all to see on the night. Every member of the team should be commended for treating the audience to a night to remember, a powerful production which left us uplifted and hardly able to wait for the forthcoming Christmas show, which will be announced by the end of term.
