Comic Relief 2009
The school was a hive of activity last Friday making an enormous effort to
raise funds for Comic Relief. Various events took place on Friday including
a non-uniform day with the emphasis on wearing something red and selling red
noses. A total of £677.77 was raised. A special thank you to the Charities
Committee for all their hard work during the week. Plans are now well
underway for the final fund raising event which will take place during the
last week of term before Easter.
S2 Enterprise Activity
Last Thursday all S2 pupils took part in a ‘Freaky Fortress’ activity.
Pupils were divided into groups and given the task of building the fortress.
They had the opportunity to observe the fortress in its entirety then
recreate it under timed conditions. All pupils enjoyed the event and prizes
were awarded to the groups that achieved the best replica of the fortress.
London May 2009
A reminder to parents and carers of pupils going to London in May that the
balance of the trip should be paid in full before the end of term (2nd
April) to Miss Allardyce in Room 202.
School Office-Bearers 2009-2010
Pupils in S6 were interviewed last week for positions of Head Boy and Girl.
The interviews continue this week for the positions of House Captains. All
appointments will be announced at the end of the course.
Sainsbury's Vouchers
The PE department is collecting Sainsbury’s vouchers once again. They should
be handed in to the PE base during the school day.
Tesco Vouchers
Once again the school is collecting the Tesco Computers for School Vouchers.
They should be handed in to Form Tutors, the school office or directly to Ms
Henry in the Computing Department.
