S2 Parents' Evening
The S2 parents-teacher interviews takes place on Tuesday 24 February from
4.15pm – 6.45pm. Pupils should have made appointments with the appropriate
members of staff. This will provide a valuable opportunity to discuss the
progress and capabilities of pupils before they complete their final subject
choice forms for their S3/4 course.
Readathon '09
This will take place for pupils in S1/2 in various departments week
beginning 23 February and for S3 pupils it will take place during their
English periods.
Fairtrade Producer Visit
A Fairtrade producer will be visiting the school as
part of Fairtrade week. There will be a presentation and a question and
answer session on Wednesday 25 February.
Chemistry Tutorials
Standard Grade and Higher Chemistry tutorials will run between now and study
leave. Tutorials will take place in room 211 between 3.45pm and 4.30pm.
Tutorial dates are as follows –
Standard Grade – 26 February, 3, 11, 19 and 24 March and 1, 23 and 28 April
Higher – 25 February, 5, 10, 17, 25 and 31 March and 21 and 30 April.
Amnesty Group
The School’s Amnesty Group is once again holding their annual Second-hand
Book Sale to celebrate World Book Day and to raise cash for Amnesty
International. This will take place during lunch times in the lecture
theatre on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March. Pupils of the school are invited
to come along and pick up a bargain or two. Books will cost as little as
50p. If any pupils have books at home they would like to donate to the Sale,
please hand in to Mrs Mackay in room 308. Click
