Scotland Theme Day
A very successful Scottish theme day was held in school last week as part of
‘Homecoming Scotland’. A huge number of events and activities were organised
for pupils and staff to participate in from Highland dancing to shortbread

S2 Options
There will be a meeting for parents and carers of S2 pupils in the school
lecture theatre on Wednesday 11th February at 7.15pm. At the meeting a
presentation will be given to inform parents about the subject choice sheet
for 2009, the range of courses available in S3/4, college courses, current
qualifications and future course provision in S5/6. The presentation is
scheduled to last for 30 minutes and will then be followed by an Open
Question and Answer session.
Road Safety Campaign
All S4 pupils attended a performance at the Macrobert
Art Centre yesterday highlighting the importance of road safety.
London Trip ( February 2009 )
A parents’ information evening will be held in the school staffroom on
Wednesday 11th February to finalise details for pupils participating in the
excursion. Letters regarding this meeting have been issued to pupils and
responses as to whether or not you will be able to attend should be returned
to Miss Allardyce.
London Trip ( May 2009 )
A reminder to parents and carers, that payments can be made at any time for
the above trip. All payments should be returned to Miss Allardyce in Room
202.
S5/6 Prelims
The main diet of examinations runs from Thursday 29th January until
Wednesday 4th February. Exams this week are English and Advanced Higher
Geography (Thursday) and Accounting, Biology, Computing, Physics, Product
Design and Travel and Tourism (Friday).
