Christmas Concert
Tickets are available for the Christmas Concert which will be held in school
on Wednesday 10th December, priced £4 for adults, £2 for children and senior
citizens and a family ticket costing £8 for 2 adults and 2 children. Tickets
can be purchased from the school office. The schools Fairtrade group will
also be holding a raffle on the night, with Fairtrade products as prizes.
The proceeds of the raffle will be split between buying goods to use during
Fairtrade week in March and the Charities Committee.
S4 Prelims
The prelims continue this week with Modern Studies and
Graphic Communication today (Wednesday), Art & Design and Accounting
(Thursday), Physics and Science (Friday) and Geography (Monday). S4 pupils
should only attend school if they have an exam or if they have pre-arranged
meetings with staff. Normal timetable resumes on Tuesday 9 December
Art & Design Tutorials
The Art & Design Department will be having tutorials for S5 pupils every
Thursday from Thursday 4th December after school.
PSA Prize Draw
The first PSA prize draw of this session took place last Friday. The winners
of the £50 prizes were Ms Allan (staff) and Mr Webb (Parent). Thanks to Mrs
Smith of the History department for making the draw.
Royal Marines Visit - Friday 21st November
A group of senior pupils from Bannockburn High School took part in the Royal
Marines experience day in Arbroath. They had the opportunity to participate
in various Marine tasks and skills such as survival, unarmed combat and
absailing. All pupils found this a very exciting experience and gave them a
great insight into how much work goes into becoming a Royal Marine. Overall
it was a great day and all pupils who took part thoroughly enjoyed the
experience.
Bannockburn Green Team
'Bannockburn Green Team' have been working hard and efficiently since early
October with the result that the school has gained the Silver Eco Schools
Award. The next step is the 'Green Flag'.
