The results of the Model Competition in Design Technology, Modern Languages Quiz, S1/S2 Sports and the In the News – Modern Studies competitions are as follows: Bruce – 830, Stuart – 1180 and Wallace – 1100.

Senior Boys Football

Congratulations to the senior boys who beat Wallace High 4-3 last week. A superb game by all. However a special mention must go to Andrew Grant who scored a hat trick and Fraser Anderson who scored from the penalty spot.

Mini Trial Event

On 4th November the Intermediate 2 Modern Studies class took part in a mini-trial event involving Wallace High, St Modans High and Stirling High. Whilst we were there we got to act out what it would be like in a real court room. People from all schools got to act out different roles. Andrew Forshaw (S5) played the police witness who was asked questions similar to that of a real trial. Brad Halliday (S5), took on the role of the Clerk of the Court which was fun to watch. Going to the Sheriff court was a great experience and showed us what a real life court case would be like.
(Amanda Parker, S5)

Scotland Theme Day

Bannockburn High is organising a very special day to acknowledge and celebrate Scotland’s world-changing past, vibrant present and inspiring future. The Scotland theme day will take place on Friday 23rd January 2009 to mark the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birthday. All pupils will be taking part in an exciting variety of activities which staff and pupils have devised. Pupils will be experiencing everything from a Scottish birds of prey display, Scottish hip-hop dancing to Scottish food tasting and learning about famous Scots. We will also have a Highland Games inspired Clan Gathering in June where the three Houses will compete against each other whilst enjoying some Scottish entertainment.
