German Theatre Visit

S3 German pupils were treated to a performance of a German play yesterday at Queen Victoria School in Dunblane. A full report will feature next week.

Scottish Parliament Visit

Higher Modern Studies pupils will travel to Edinburgh tomorrow where they will be given a tour of the Scottish Parliament by Bruce Crawford MSP and then have the opportunity to watch First Ministers Question Time.

S4 Parent-Teacher Interviews

The S4 parents evening will take place Wednesday night in school between 4.15pm and 6.45pm. Pupils should have arranged interviews with teachers in advance.

School Show

Auditions have been taking place this week for the end of year production ‘Copacabana’. Further details available in the new year.
 

S1 Interhouse Results

The S1 pupils took part in activities recently to gain points for their respective houses.

The results were as follows -

Basketball: Wallace – 100 points
                    Bruce - 50 points
                    Stuart – 30 points
                    Bonus Points: Shannon Mackay - 50 points Bruce
                                        Anthony Sweeney - 50 points Wallace
                                        Lee Gordon - 50 points Stuart.

Swimming: Stuart - 100 points
                   Wallace 50 points
                   Bruce - 30 points
                   Bonus Points: Carrie Salmond (B) – 50 points
                                        Grant McGregor (S).

Dance: Stuart - 100 points
            Wallace - 50 points
            Bruce - 50 points
            Bonus Points: Emily Scotland (B) – 50 points
                                Niamh Bracken (S) – 50 points
                                Ryan Hutton (B) – 50 points.

Day of Languages

On Friday 26th September, the Modern Languages department celebrated the annual Day of Languages with S1-S4 pupils. All classes were given the opportunity to find out about the benefits of learning a language and pupils’ world knowledge was put to the test in the inter-house quiz. Well done to the quiz winners across the year groups, lots of house points were earned! Congratulations also to the S1 pupils who entered the Day of Languages poster competition. The standard was very high. The winners were:

Bonus points were awarded to David Brisbane 1S2
