P7 Open Night
The school enjoyed another successful Open Night on Monday evening. A high
number of P7 pupils and parents visited the school, viewing individual
departments and the associated support services. Thanks to all members of
staff and pupils who participated in the event.
Bannockburn's Got Talent
Rehearsals are underway for those acts selected for
‘Bannockburn’s Got Talent’, including singers, dancers and gymnasts. The
talent show will take place in the school lecture theatre on Tuesday 7th and
Wednesday 8th October at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £4 and can be purchased
from room 202 at lunchtime from Monday 29th September. Click

Photographer
There will be a lot of smiling in the staffroom tomorrow (Thursday) as every
pupil in S1, S3, S5/6 had their picture taken by the school photographer.
Photos will be available prior to the October holiday.
Active Kids Get Cooking
S2 Home Economics classes are involved in the Active Kids Get Cooking
Challenge. The owners of theTea Room in Braehead have challenged the pupils
to produce a range of luxury scones which should be original, take account
of healthy eating and use ingredients from around the world. Members of
staff from the tea room will judge the competition this week and results
will be announced next week. The winners will go to the tea room where they
will make and sell their scones.
Digital Artist
This week digital artist Lisa Fleming gave a presentation to second year
pupils who have elected Art and Design. Lisa is a practising photographer
employed on an artist in residence scheme with Stirling Council. This was an
exciting opportunity to allow pupils a greater understanding of the careers
involved in the creative industries as a whole, and to see some work by
Scotland’s most successful digital photographers and animators. Lisa will be
working with the Art and Design department to run an after school club to
give pupils the benefit of her expertise in this area. Any enquiries please

Stirling Book Festival
A number of S1 pupils attended Stirling Book Festival on Monday where they
met Theresa Breslin and had a chance to discuss her books.
Interhouse
The S1 Interhouse event will take place on Friday 10th October. Pupils will
have the choice of participating in Football, Swimming, Dance/Gymnastics and
Basketball. The S2 Interhouse will take place on Tuesday 7th October. Pupils
will have the chance to participate in synchronized swimming, boxercise/fitness,
badminton and rugby. Click

Extra Curricular Clubs
All extra curricular clubs are up and running. Every pupil has a copy of the
timetable Please encourage your children to come along and join in the fun.
S3 Boys Football
The S3 boys football team played their first game of the season against
Falkirk High last week. Unfortunately they lost 5-3 but excellent goals were
scored by Dean Kemp (2) and Mark Milne.
