Senior Awards Ceremony
The prizes for S4, S5 & S6 will be presented tonight (Wednesday) during the
Senior Awards Ceremony. The guest speaker will be Constituency M.S.P., Bruce
Crawford. The event recognises not only academic excellence by pupils, but also
outstanding effort, sporting achievement and service to the school.
Rectors Newsletter
The rector issued his newsletter for March 2008 at the end of term outlining
important information for parents and carers. Included were items regarding the
new extension, parking facilities for staff, parents and carers and arrangements
for S4, 5 and 6 during the SQA examinations. Any parent/carer who did not

Sports News
Girls Health Club
Congratulations to the Girls Health Club who completed a sponsor walk up
to Wallace's monument to raise money for the Brionni Trust. (A charity set
up to promote the plight of families with children with terminal illnesses
and what can be done to ease the burden on the child and family). The
girls have managed to raise over £100 for an exceptionally good cause. Next
session the girls will participate in and train for the Race For life to
raise money for breast cancer.
Senior volleyball
Congratulations to the Senior volleyball team who came 2nd in the North
Lanarkshire Gladiator cup. Player of the match was Fraser Anderson.
Extra Curricular Points
A reminder to all pupils that they can gain points for their house by
attending extra curricular clubs
Upcoming events
All S1 pupils will participate in an Interhouse event on the 30th April and
S2 pupils will compete on the 25th April. All team lists will be displayed this
week
