Sport Relief 2008

The school was a hive of activity last Friday making an enormous effort to raise funds for Sport Relief. Various events took place on Friday including a sponsored walk and a non-uniform day. A total of £723.15 was raised. A special thank you to the Charities Committee for all their hard work during the week, plans are now well underway for the final fund raising event which will take place during the last week of term before Easter.

London 2008

A reminder to parents and carers of pupils going to London in May that the balance of the trip should be paid in full before the end of term (4th April) to Miss Allardyce in Room 202.

School Captains

Pupils in S5 were interviewed last week for positions of Head Boy and Girl. The interviews continue this week for the positions of House Captains. All appointments will be announced tomorrow.

College 4 U

A number of S3 pupils took part in the College 4 U taster day on Monday, where they had a tour of the college and viewed the many different departments and facilities available.

Senior Rugby

Bannockburn High played a fantastic game of rugby away to Denny High in the Cup last Wednesday, winning by a score of 33-7. Three tries were scored by Kyle Dalziel and two by Andrew Kimmitt. Robert Kimmit added the conversions, bossed the pack well, set up the back-line and was, in all areas of the game, the epitome of an excellent scrum-half, for which he won Man of the Match in a game full of excellent performances. David Heggie and Scott Headley also excelled in their new positions of full-back and stand-off respectively, both running with power and purpose. Today sees the visit of tournament favourites Alva Academy.
