Work Experience

A number of pupils are out of school on Work Experience this week as part of the Careers Programme that the school operates. Pupils will be working in various occupations from nursery and primary education to the army.

S2 Pupil Support Interviews

Interviews between S2 pupils and Pupil Support teachers have been taking place this week. These interviews provide an opportunity for pupils to discuss their reports, which will be issued to parents and carers in due course, and to discuss the options available as pupils move from S2 to S3.

S2 Parent Teacher Interviews

The S2 Parent Teacher Interviews will take place on Wednesday 7th March between 4.15pm and 6.45pm. This will provide a valuable opportunity to discuss the progress and capabilities of pupils before they complete their final subject choice forms for their S3/4 course. Appointment sheets will be posted to parents along with the report.

Give Us Your Vote

The PE department has been entered into a national competition run by Norwich Union for the work they have been doing to improve girls’ participation within PE. To win a prize they need as many votes as possible. To give them your vote all you have to do is register at www.joinourteam.com and vote for ‘Get going Girls’.

Amnesty International Group

The group are organising a second hand book sale in celebration of World Book Day during lunchtimes on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th March. They would be grateful for donations of any kind – books, magazines, videos and DVDs.
