Children In Need
The school was a hive of activity last week raising funds for Children in
Need. The charities committee organised a number of events including ‘Guess the
number of sweets in the Jar’, a Non Uniform Day and ‘Staff v Pupils Football’.
By the end of the day on Friday the school had raised £925.69. Well done to the
Charities committee and all who took part!!
S4 Prelims
Pupils in S4 will be on study leave from Monday 26th November until
Monday 10th December, both dates inclusive. Solo performing exams in Music
will take place tomorrow with the main diet of exams commencing with English
on Monday. Pupils should only attend school when they have an exam or for
any pre-arranged appointments with staff.
Present Aid
Form classes have also begun collecting ‘loose change’ during morning
registration. This will be collected for the next few weeks and will end in each
individual form class selecting and buying a gift from the ‘Present Aid’
catalogue in association with Christian Aid to be given to those in the
developing world.
Christmas Concert
Tickets are available for the Christmas concert which will be held in school
on Wednesday 12th December, priced £3 for adults, £1.50 for children and senior
citizens and a family ticket costing £7 for 2 adults and 2 children.
Senior Girls Football
Congratulations to the Senior Girls Football team who at last Thursday’s
local school football tournament won two of their matches, drew one and lost
two. Goals were scored by Megan Currie, Stacey O’Hare, Sinead Thomson and
Jennifer Jones.
