Home Economics Department

Recipe of the Month – S1 Home Economics pupils have been working hard at home researching Salad recipes which are healthy, easy to prepare and use readily available ingredients. Many pupils made their chosen recipe, photographed it and family and friends, bravely, tasted and commented on the finished result. The overall winners were Megan McGurl and Emma Sutherland. All class winners will demonstrate their recipe to their class.

Sports News

Football – Congratulations to Kenny Govan (S5) who recently took part in the trials for the Forth Valley under 18’s team, where he was successful in gaining in a place. Kenny will hopefully be selected to play in the first team for their first game on 3rd October.

Rugby - Bannockburn High's Senior Rugby team played their first game in several years last Monday when they took on the visiting Stirling High. The boys played exceptionally well against a large, well drilled Stirling team and can take lots of pride in their effort and tackling, especially since many of the squad were making their rugby debuts. The final score was eventually 44-10 to Stirling, with Bannockburn tries scored by Andrew Kimmitt and Robert Kimmitt. Man of the match went to Karl Duffy.

October Holiday

The school will close on Friday 5th at 3.35pm for the October break and will re-open on Monday 15th October at 8.55am.
