‘SUMMER HOLIDAY’
First class, professional and most definitely amazing, were the words used to
described BHS’s excellent production of ‘Summer Holiday’.

The unforgettable songs, fun lyrics and music expertly performed by a highly
talented cast of pupils from S1 – S6, had the audience captivated from beginning
to end. The visually stunning set, complete with a red London Bus, highly
imaginative costumes and lively dance routines added extra sparkle to an already
glittering evening.

Craig Muirhead, perfect in his role as Don, gave an outstanding
performance as did Joanna McConnachie as Barbara (Bobby) the stowaway turned to
love interest of Don. Daniel Mooney, David Tait and Kyle Dalziel wowed the
audience as Don’s sidekicks with their harmonious singing and comedy timing
while Lisa McMurray, Laura Nicol and Isla Esplin put in a strong performance as
Do-Reh-Mi, entertaining the audience each night with lively song and dance
routines. However Fraser Tait and Eilidh Duncan’s double act of Stella & Jerry
almost stole the show.
The talent, effort and teamwork of cast and crew were evident for all to see
on the night. Every member of the team should be commended for treating the
audience to a night to remember, a powerful production which left us uplifted
and hardly able to wait for next year’s production, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.
