With fewer jobs advertised in newspapers, websites such as www.s1jobs.com and www.scotcareers.co.uk can be great sources of information about the types of opportunities available. www.mappit.org.uk and www.apprenticeshipsinscotland.co. uk are great for information on Modern Apprenticeship vacancies. Pupils who know what industry they would like to work in should check the websites of companies or organisations they are interested in working for, as these often advertise vacancies.
